Privacy

The short version: we don't ask who you are, we don't use cookies, and nothing you type, tap or pop leaves your device. The sounds are made right on your screen.

What we never do

What happens when a page loads

Like every website, fidgetkey is delivered over the internet, so the hosting network (Cloudflare) handles your device's IP address and the usual request details (the page asked for, browser type) in order to send the page to you and to protect the site from abuse. We use that only for those two jobs: delivering pages and keeping the site secure. We don't use it to contact anyone, to build a profile of anyone or to show ads, and we don't keep our own logs of visitors.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless counter that gives totals such as page views and broad country. It doesn't store anything in your browser, doesn't follow you to other sites, and Cloudflare states that it doesn't use visitors' IP addresses for this (see Cloudflare's description). Its code is fetched from static.cloudflareinsights.com, and the visit counts go to cloudflareinsights.com. Apart from those two Cloudflare addresses, no page here talks to any outside server.

What your browser keeps (and you can clear)

To remember your settings, the toys save a few small values in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we can't read them.

Saved valueWhat it's for
Volume, mute, vibration and silent-switch choicesSo the sound bar starts where you left it.
Switch, board sound, key-up and variation choicesSo the keyboard pages sound the same each visit.
Counters: keystrokes, pops, flips, clicks, longest spinShown on the toy pages, for you only.
ASMR speed, endless mode, bearing, noise colourYour last choice on those pages.

Clearing this site's data in your browser settings does the same.

Children

fidgetkey is suitable for all ages and is built so that it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, children included: there is nothing to fill in, nobody to chat with and no ads. The only data processed is the technical delivery and security handling described above, which is the minimum any website needs.

Links to other sites

Some pages cite research or guidance with a link. Those sites have their own privacy policies; links open in a new tab and don't pass along which page you came from.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions: hello@fidgetkey.com.
